NWC is in our 36th year of serving our Norton community!
Our 36th year got off to great start! Our annual Salad Supper which includes our installation of our officers, welcome to new members, remembrance of our former members who have passed on and the celebration of our Norton Women’s Club Woman of the Year! It is a wonderful night with good food and great people.
We’ve been very busy with lots of activities this fall. Did you see us in the Cider Festival Parade? Norton Women’s Club float “Fishing for Volunteers” traveled down the parade route. We had a great time in the parade. Cider Fest is such a wonderful community event.
Our Craft and Gift Fair was held on October 21 at the Norton Elementary School. We had wonderful vendors and lots of shoppers. We hope to see everyone back next year as we continue to grow our show.
Christmas in the Park was held on Saturday December 2, 2017. Columbia Woods sparkled as the trees were lit, carols were sung and music rang through the park. After the lighting ceremony, everyone headed back to the Community Center for Cookies and Hot Cocoa in addition to entertainment and photos with our special guest.
RINGING in the NEW YEAR! Happy 2018!!
NWC got off to a great start at our annual Foreign Student Exchange Reception. This year we welcomed our Foreign Exchange Student Sara from Germany. The reception was held at the Community Center on January 25th. We had many community organizations there as well. The event was enjoyed by all as we got to learn more about this inspiring student from Germany.
Our Scotch Doubles Event at Charger Lanes was held on February 3rd. A great time was had by all. We had so much great food for the bowlers, awesome raffle baskets and door prizes. If you missed out on this event, which is our major fundraiser for NHS Scholarships, plan to get a team together for next year. Thank you to all of our bowlers for helping to make this event a big success. We hope to see you back next year.
Spring is here at last and our Easter Egg Hunt is right around the corner! Hop on down to Columbia Woods on March 24th for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Who knows, you may catch a glimpse of our special guest. Better yet, be lucky enough to grab a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.
Planning for Safety Town is in the works. Safety Town will be held the week of June 4th at the Norton Community Center. Safety Town is open for all incoming Norton Kindergarteners.
